Launched in 2001, the .NAME top-level domain extension is the single TLD intended for personal sites only. These domains can consist of personal or fictitious names, nicknames and/or other designations people are famous by. At first, only third-level registrations were possible, so if you planned to acquire john.doe.name, you were supposed to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration procedures were loosened and second-level registrations were also permitted. Already purchased third-level domain names remained running.

Through our company, you can purchase your .NAME domain for a period between one and ten years. You will have the opportunity to modify the WHOIS contact info, to park your domain, to create Custom DNS records, etc. You can also transfer an already purchased domain to our firm if you get its EPP transfer key from the present domain registrar and we will renew it when the transfer has been finalized. There are no specific requirements on who can secure a .NAME domain, but in order to maintain the objective behind its establishment alive, the Registry organization may check who the Registrant is and if there is no connection between the owner and the actual domain name, the registration can be challenged.
