A catch-all email mailbox receives email messages sent to non-existent addresses under the same domain name. For instance, an email sent to the misspelled suport@domain.com will go to support@domain.com if the catch-all feature has been enabled for the latter. In this way, you can get email messages from acquaintances or customers who may have sent a message to your email address with a spelling mistake or to an outdated one, which they may still have, but you have already deleted. Just one mailbox per domain can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be activated for such a mailbox. This is due to the fact that at a certain moment you may start receiving spam messages in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding restriction implies that the spam will not be sent to a 3rd-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Cloud Hosting

Setting up a catch-all email mailbox will be pretty easy in case you’ve got a cloud hosting with us. You can enable the feature through our advanced, albeit user-friendly Email Manager, which is included in the Hepsia Control Panel, via which you’ll administer the account itself. You will find all the mailboxes that you have created shown in alphabetical order and to the right of each one there will be a tiny "Catch-all" icon, which will quickly show you if a particular mailbox receives all the emails associated with a certain domain name or not. With one click on the icon you can enable or disable this option at any moment. If there is enabled email forwarding or if another mailbox has already been set up as a catch-all one for a particular domain name, you will get a warning notice from our system. The latter will not replace/deactivate anything automatically or without your consent.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Hosting

The in-house developed Hepsia hosting Control Panel that comes with each and every semi-dedicated server package that we are offering will allow you to create a catch-all mailbox easily even if you do not have much email/web hosting experience. All it takes to achieve that is to click on the catch-all icon, which will be on the right-hand side of each mailbox that you have set up with your domains in the Email Manager section of the hosting Control Panel. As you can have only one single mailbox with this feature per domain, our system will notify you if you’ve already configured another catch-all mailbox or if the one that you’d like to use has email forwarding activated. In case you reach the decision that you do not want the feature any longer, you can remove it by clicking once again on the very same icon. The Email Manager will also permit you to see your catch-all mailboxes at a glance.
